A verse from Colossian 1 states He is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the first born from the dead (Colossian 1, New Standard Version). In contrast, the Buddhist faith believes in the concept of samsara, an endless existence or a continuous cycle of life, death and reincarnation (Berkley Center, n.d.). For Buddhist, the goal is to be liberated from samsara to attain nirvana by practicing the teachings of Buddha. The second question inquires about the nature of the external reality, the world around us. For Christians, God created the universe and we rely on him for our existence. It is said that God created humans as his image. On the other hand, Buddhists believes that the material world around us is unreal, in order to achieve liberation from suffering (nirvana), we must free ourselves #from the physical andthe mental attachments to the material world (Berkley Center, n.d.). The third question relates to the meaning of a human being. In Christianity, humans are made in the image of God or imago dei. According to Gods plan, humans have the responsibility and authority over the rest of creation (Shelly and Miller, 2006). For this reason, it is felt that humans are created with wisdom and knowledge in order to care for the sick and the poor. In contrast, Buddhists believe that there is no permanent body or soul, human existence is just a combination of five components or khandas: physical form, feelings/sensations, ideations, mental formations and consciousness. These components combine at birth to create a person (Religion Facts, 2015). What occurs to a person after death is the fourth question. For Christians, depending on the decisions and actions one makes, our existence will either be with or without God. We exist beyond the death of our body (Tripp, n.d.). On the other hand, the concept of reincarnation holds true for the Buddhist faith. Reincarnation is the belief that the soul or spirit will be reborn after the death of the physical body. In addition, karma strongly influences ones future or next life, for these reasons Buddhist are encouraged to make morally right decisions. The fifth question asks us if it is possible to know anything at all. Through the eyes of Christianity, the all-knowing God has knowledge of everything and he conveys this information through the Bible (Creation Education Center, 2014). In contrast, the Buddhist faith does not ponder on the idea of knowledge about creation because for Buddhism, there is no beginning, life is a cycle that repeats itself. Buddhism focuses on the current human conditions, the human suffering in life. The essence of his teaching is to end this suffering by studying and practicing the four noble truths (Berkley Center, n.d.). The next question is in regards to knowing what is right from wrong. For Christians, we are made in the image of God; we are created as moral beings, knowing the differences between right and wrong. Shelly and Miller (2006) stated that our decisions are based on good thinking, Scripture and the Holy Spirit. Furthermore, God knows our intentions and it is our desire is to please therefore by doing what is morally right we are pleasing Him. In contrast, Buddhism has the concept of Precepts. It is similar to Christians Ten Commandments. Precepts consist of many sets that guide us to make morally right decisions. The main five sets or pancasila, states not to kill, steal, lie, misuse sex and abuse intoxicants. Since there is no God to please, by following these Precepts, Buddhists can achieve enlightenment (OBrien, 2015). The last worldview question brings up the meaning of human history. For Christians, humanity is linear; it means there is a beginning and an end. The end for us is in Gods hand. The belief that God will create a new humanity in a new kingdom is true for Christians (Shelly and Miller, 2006). On the other hand, Buddhist believes that humanity is not linear but goes through repeating cycle until one achieves nirvana. Critical Components in Healing Spirituality has a huge role in the healing process. It provides hope and positive thinking during the most difficult time (Pulchalski, 2001). Spirituality varies for everyone and an individuals faith can influence ones spirituality. In the Christians faith, spirituality is rooted on the belief and trust in God. For Christians, turning to the spirit realm for healing is prohibited by God because it is viewed as getting involved with demonic, even more a lack of faith in God (Shelly and Miller, 2006). The power of prayer, bible study and church attendance is shown to aid in the healing process. Twenty studies over the course of thirty years have shown that regular church attendance can significantly lower blood pressure (Shelly and Miller, 2006). A critical component in healing for Buddhist is the mind and body. The minds are limitless and pure but have the power to control the bodys performance. As a result, meditation is proven to be a powerful tool in case healing. The concept of karma, meaning anything we do now will affect us in the future has a role in illness. To heal ones current illnesses, one must engage in positive behaviors and actions then in order to prevent illnesses in the future. Following the noble eightfold path allows Buddhist to achieve good karma, therefore limits the suffering caused by illnesses. Important Factors to Consider for Health Care Provider When caring for patients whose spiritual beliefs are different from their own, nurses may find it difficult at times to understand certain practices. According to Shelly and Miller (2006) nursing developed from the Christian worldview as a response to the teaching of Jesus Christ and his example while caring for the sick. Some important factors to be considered when caring for the Christian patients are their strong belief in God. According to the Bible, it is in Gods nature to heal and physicians are an extension of Gods general blessings to a fallen human race (Tangelders, 2007). Offering a Bible can be very valuable to the Christians during hospitalization as it allow time for prayers. It should be kept in mind that our body is the temple of the Holy Spirit and it belongs to the Lord, therefore we must treat it, not mistreat it or use it for medical experiments (Tangelders, 2007). In contrast, when caring for the Buddhists, we must be mindful of our working environment, making sure that it is quiet for the purpose of meditation. Mediation allows Buddhist to transform their mind, to develop concentration, clarity, emotional positivity and calm in order to see the true nature of things. Limiting noise can be beneficial towards mediations. Modesty is a big concern as most Buddhist prefers to be cared by the same sex. If possible, when performing procedures where the body is exposed, make sure the nurse is of the same sex. Conclusion We practice in a pluralist society and should be tolerant of the differences and accept our patient for who they are. Respecting our patients belief and allowing them to practice their faith free out any restraints can be so beneficial during hospitalization. Several years ago, a virus which originated in Africa swept the entire world killing millions. This virus is the commonly known HIV virus, the virus which causes the fatal AIDS disease. In the 1950's after virologists began the classification of viruses, isolated cases of what are called hot viruses began springing up around the world. Most of the deadly viruses were hemorrhagic fever viruses. Some different forms of hemorrhagic viruses are Hantaviruses, Arenaviruses, Flaviviruses, Bunyaviruses, and one of the most dangerous types of viruses, the filovirus. If one of these viruses, especially a filovirus such as Ebola, were to mutate it could concievalby be the end human existance on the planet. The first of the filoviruses was seen around 1967, identified as Marburg. It killed seven laboratory workers in Germany who were handling monkey blood. The next major filovirus emersion was in 1976. This virus was a more severe virus, Ebola Sudan. It swept across N'zara and Maridi in Sudan. That same year, a strand of Ebola called Ebola Zaire, killed nearly three-hundred people in Yambuku, Zaire. In 1976 Sudan was again hit by Ebola Sudan. More recently, in 1995 Ebola killed more than 200 people in Zaire. Surprisingly, Ebola has reached the United States before. In 1989, Ebola surfaced in a monkey house in Reston, Virginia. The strand of Ebola was called Ebola Reston. It seemed to be airborne, yet harmless to humans. This strain of Ebola was brought to the United States through the trading of monkeys for scientific purposes. (Johnson, as cited in Le Guenno,1995) Although it may not look like Ebola has done a lot of damage to the human race, take into consideration all of the viruses which are slightly less deadly than Ebola. Arenaviruses alone have killed more than one-hundred fifty people throughout the world in the last forty years. In two outbreaks, Rift Valley Fever, a Bunyavirus, infected nearly a quarter of a million people and 1000 of those infected died. Flaviruses and Hantaviruses have swept across most of Asia infecting millions of people for the last one-thousand years. It should be apparent that these viruses spread easier than Ebola but are not as deadly. Therefore, if one of these viruses was to mutate into a virus with a mortality rate similar to Ebola, it could put a dent in society. (Johnson, 1995) Currently Ebola is transmitted by contact with bodily fluids from an infected victim. For example, a doctor by the name of Sheth Musoke who worked in a Nairobi hospital in 1980, contracted Marburg when he was splashed with blood and vomit from a dying victim of Marburg. He was lucky enough to survive his ordeal with Marburg, for Marburg only has a twenty-five percent mortality rate. Most outbreaks of hemmorahagic fever viruses are triggered by the disruption of nature. For instance, in 1989, in a small Venezualian community cleared a forest to make way for more housing and commercial space. Within weeks Guarnarito, a Arenavirus, infected nearly one-hundred people in the town due to a fine dust of contaminated wood which settled over the town. Although most damage to the environment is brought on by humans, in 1993, after heavy snowfall and torrential rains Sin Nombre, a Hantavirus, broke out in New Mexico, Colorado, and Nevada. With the extra rain and snow, grain crops flourished, but along with the grain came the deer mouse, a natural host of Sin Nombre. Sin Nombre infected one-hundred forteen people and killed fifty-eight. Some Hemorrhagic Fever viruses, mainly Bunyaviruses, are carried by mosquitoes. If a dam is built and the water level rises mosquito populations flourish. The action of damming a river caused an outbreak of Rift Valley fever, in 1970. Nearly 600 people died in that outbreak, and almost all of them were bitten by mosquitoes. It is not likely for Ebola to become transmitted by mosquitoes for they do not contain the appropriate proteins for Ebola to flourish. They agreed that an invasion of Western Europe would be appropriate, almost a necessity, to defeat Germany, and they felt early May would be the proper time for such an undertaking, which was unprecedented at this time in world history due to its sheer size and scope. This would allow enough time for the detailed planning of the invasion, the practicing of paratrooper drops, the build up of troops, and the never ending briefings. After additional planning, the leaders decided that, in the b est interests of the invasion, it should be postponed until a later date. â€Å"...this operation is fraught with hazards. Unless these hazards are squarely faced and adequately overcome, the operation cannot succeed. The date that the invasion would finally take place would be June sixth. June sixth was chosen as the date for Operation Overlord because of many factors which included; a lack of troops that would be available at the original set date; tidal conditions; weather; and a late rising moon. Originally the invasion was going to take place sometime in early May, but when early May approached some of the troops were still engaged in battles elsewhere and would not be available by the time the invasion was scheduled to take place. If the invasion was to have been carried out when it was originally plan ned, the troops would have had to have been spread so thinly, in an attempt to try and cover for absent troops, that the outcome of the mission might have been jeopardized. Since every man was needed for the invasion to succeed it was decided to delay the start date. This invasion would be either a victory over Hitler, or an unfathomable defeat. No matter which outcome, there was going to be a large fatali... ...Since the Allies were not ready when the original D-Day date approached, a new date had to be selected. Some, on the other hand, are too narrow and exclusive, because they recognize only the particular kind of poetry in which the writer happened to be personally interested.

Introduction: This report will be looking to analysis the risk of one of my clients business and investment in an automotive manufacturing company in the emerging market of Turkey. This essay will be looking at the risk and benefits of taking such action. After this analysis the report will have a discussion point, putting forward reasons why my client has reason to worry about starting a business in Turkey and reasons for approving such action. The finale part of the report will be a conclusion outlining my recommendations for the client. Method: The way in which this report will generate information will be through secondary data already publically available online, such as the UK trad e and Investment website and various similar websites. In the risk analysis, the report will be using SWOT analysis, which stands for strength, weaknesses, opportunities and threats for the automotive manufacturing company. To analysis the risk of Turkey, the report will be using PESTLE analysis, which stands for political, economic, social, technological, legal and environment. SWOT analysis of the automotive industry Strengths: Emerging countries such as China, Brazil and India offer incredible sales potential as vehicle ownership rates in these countries are still be well behind those in developed countries, E.G. US, UK and Germany (KPMG 2013). It is predicted that by 2020 China will be responsible for nearly one third of new vehicle sales worldwide. There is evidence that shows Chinas demand for automotive vehicle will grow by 7.4% by 2020, while India demand will increase by 11% in the same period (KPMG 2013). Weaknesses Opportunities Threats PESTLE analysis: Political: After the protest of 2013 there are growing worries within the AK party about Recep Tayyip Erdogans (Turkish prime minister) authoritarian on turkish people (The Economist 2013). Also on March 13th 2014 there was violent unrest in at least 32 towns and cities across the country showing a lack of political control of the population (BBC News 2014). There is currently outrage in turkey since a recording emerged which allegedly features the prime minister and his son discussing how to hide large sums of cash (BBC News 2014). A Possible political strength of Turkey is that it is a supporter of the liberal trade and investment policy, which allow open trade between different countries in the EU, allowing Turkish firms the chance to get bigger and more successful in the global economy (UK Essay N/A). Economic: Turkish growth slowed down to just 3% in 2013, meanwhile in America the Federal Reserve plans to reduce quantitative easing, thus putting pressure on countries w hich need capital flow(The Economist 2013). Turkey is exposed to this as it has a low saving rate, a large current account deficit of 6 to 8 percent of GDP and a high dependency on Foreign Direct Investment (The Economist 2013). However even after the financial crisis Turkeyrecorded the 9th highest growth rate globally in FDI inflows (export.gov 2013). In Turkeys favour with a large domestic market of 74 million people, Turkey is a massive springboard to the markets of Central Asia the Middle East, while also being the 18th biggest economy in the world and the 7th biggest in Europe (UK Trade and Investment 2013). Turkey has been investing heavily in improving its infrastructure in recent years, with a t new airport currently being built l costing a reported à ¢Ã¢â‚¬Å¡Ã‚ ¬22bn, but there is also a $3bn bridge being constructed across the Bosphorus strait, while the Galata region is getting a brand new port complex worth around $700m (World Finance 2013). Social: Turkey has a labour force of about 25 million, of which many are young and well educated, with a median average age of Turkey being about 28, but also Labour productivity growth averaged 4.4% annually between 2002 and 2009 (RBS 2010). Turkey sends the largest number of students among all European countries, around 12,000 each year, to U.S. colleges and universities (export.gov 2013). Turkeyà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s population is expected to become the largest in Europe, overtaking Germany (RBS 2010). Turkey currently has a high level of unemployment at 9.2% which means that it is very rationale for a business to set up there, as a firm will have a large amount of people to employ, and if they are unskilled workers, they can be trained (World Bank 2014). Turkey also has a growing life expectancy as over the last 20 years it has risen from 66 years to 75years (The World Bank 2014). Technological: Turkey is ranked in the top 20 countries for research and development spending and second only to Chin a in terms of RD expenditure growth, Turkey achieved an average annual growth rate of 15.7 percent for RD expenditures between the years 2006 and 2011 (TUBITAK 2010). Turkey provides investment incentives for firms with tax exemptions and cuts as well as financial support to improve the technological competitiveness for important industries (TUBITAK 2010). Turkey spent $11.1 billion on RD in 2012 figures, equal to 0.92 percent of the countryà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s GDP for the same year, by 2023 RD expenditure in Turkey is expected to account for 3 percent of the countryà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s GDP (Turkish Statistical institute 2014). Legal: Turkey is a civil law jurisdiction based on the Swiss, French and Italian model. The Turkish government are strict when it comes to law and order, they will enforce the law if need be, it allows companies to have a fair trial if any form of disruption were to come up such as trade union issues. However, there are judges who are politically biased a nd this can have an effect on any legal challenge and outcome (The Law Society 2014).
